We are delighted to announce that we successfully renewed our ISO 9001 Management System certification on 30th June 2017, having been approved to be compliant with the requirements of the ISO 9001: 2015 standard by Alcumus ISOQAR of Stretford, Manchester.
Our initial registration was certified on 10th October 2014 and our renewal is now due to expire on 10th October 2020. The scope of our registration is for ‘The provision and design of corporate clothing, uniforms and work wear to businesses throughout the UK’.
We would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the consultancy support we received from Groundwork MSST. They provided us with invaluable help and guidance with the implementation of the changes we needed to make prior to our assessment for renewal.
What does ISO mean?
ISO is the International Organisation for Standardisation. In simple terms, they are an organisation that keeps track of operating standards and procedures inside every industry to ensure that specifications are set for the products, processes and systems that produce them. These procedures and specifications are put in place to ensure that the outcome is the best it can be for the business or organisation in terms of being efficient, for the workers in terms of having a safe working environment, and for the end customer because the quality is going to be to the standards expected.
ISO 900 is based around quality management, and ISO 9001 is focussed on having a quality management system that is capable of achieving the quality requirements. If you achieve the level of certification within the scope set out, you have shown that you can achieve and show the best standards for quality in the industry. Previously issued in 2008, the new 2015 specifications have been adapted and altered to get the best quality output and processes in the production of goods.
