We are delighted to be able to tell you that, as part of a scheduled operational review of our corporate wardrobe management business, we recently undertook a comprehensive review of our health and safety policies and procedures.
At the outset, the principle purpose of this safety at work review was to confirm that we were continuing to operate to standards consistent not only with those set out by law, but also to the high standards that we set for ourselves and have always strived to operate to.
With the support of Manchester based compliance and safety trainers Cast Training as facilitators, we established the goals that we wished to achieve and excel in in order to build on our current high standards of working. Following the completion of a health and safety audit It became clear that our goals were achievable.
Employee Engagement…
Fundamentally as key stakeholders in the outcome, not only the Directors and Senior Managers as responsible persons were involved in the process. All staff across the business had a part to play and were invited to contribute to the review and eventual development of the policies and procedures.
Having all employees participate in the workshops, training courses and exercises proved to be extremely positive and powerful motivator with individuals meeting the challenges they were set with great clarity and gusto. They took ownership and delivered vital contributions that we are particularly grateful for.
A number of tangible outcomes that have now been implemented include an updated health and safety handbook to support our newly revised policies and procedures. Of course the motivational consequences have been a major boost and it must not be forgotten that the benefits will last long into the future as new recruits come on board to join our team.
